Why fix small things first
Rejuvenation brings back flexibility, but it cannot reattach a shingle or seal a cracked pipe boot. Treating over those problems just hides them for a while. A tune-up deals with the minor issues the assessment turned up, so nothing loose or cracked gets sprayed over.
The list is agreed before we start, and nothing gets added on the day. If we find something larger than a tune-up can handle, we stop, show you, and point you towards a roofer, with notes on what we saw.
Common tune-up items
The usual suspects:
- Shingles lifted or loosened by storm winds.
- Pipe boots with cracked or perished rubber collars.
- Flashing that has pulled away from a wall.
- Nail heads exposed or backing out.
- Sealant around vents and stacks that has dried and split.
How the work is handled
Every tune-up follows the same rules:
- Each item is listed and priced during the assessment.
- You approve the list before any work is booked.
- Materials are matched to the existing roof where possible.
- Repairs are photographed so you can see what was done.
- Work is finished before the treatment date is set.
- Anything outside the scope is flagged, never quietly fixed and billed.

Where it sits in the plan
A tune-up usually comes after any washing and before treatment. That order means repairs are made on a clean roof, and the rejuvenator goes onto shingles that are already lying flat and fastened properly.
What it costs
Tune-ups are priced item by item. A couple of reset shingles and a new pipe boot is a modest bill; a roof with loose flashing on several walls costs more. Either way the figure is set during the assessment and does not change on the day unless you approve something new. Many homeowners find a tune-up costs far less than they feared, because the list is short and specific. And when a repair turns out bigger than expected, you hear about it before anything else happens.
